A hospital in Beverley – or in Bridlington?

In response to Mr David Preston’s letter ( Beverley Guardian, 19th july 2010), no one from the NSH campaign has ever suggested that there should be a hospital in Bridlington but not in Beverley, so why did  he infer that it was to be one or the other?  Is this part of the  ‘incomplete knowledge’ that we lack and which only he and some others know about?  We accept that our knowledge is incomplete, which is why we keep asking questions. Are we being threatened that in future, there could be no hospital at all in Beverley? Is funding only available for this new hospital?  Is it possible that the Westwood hospital site has already been sold? When the decisions of others affect the quality of our lives, then we’re entitled to know- aren’t we?

NSH’s  Quote: “When complaints are freely heard, deeply considered and speedily reformed, then is the utmost bound of civil liberty attained that wise men look for” John Milton, 1644
