Beverley Commons Blog

After four years we have decided, in view of the threats to all of Beverley’s wonderful commons, not just Swinemoor, that it was time to change the name of the blog.

This has not been an easy decision but this blog was set up to help protect Swinemoor and, in recent times, its focus has moved onto Westwood and potential future threats to Hurn from the development of the old East Riding College Site.

We at NSH believe that the change of name remains consistent with the aims of the blog but better reflects the interests of those who wish to preserve the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ that is Swinemoor and its spectacular cousin Westwood, along with the lesser known commons of Lund, Figham and Hurn.

We hope you agree with the change of name and will continue to follow this blog and support NSH in our campaign to ensure the commons remain for future generations to enjoy.
